Three Days of Innovation, Investment, and Opportunity Across Real Estate, Smart Infrastructure and Smart Homes

CHICAGO – The third edition of APEX, America’s Property Exhibition, concluded on Friday, May 9, 2026, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago,  closing three days of substantive programming on real estate, smart infrastructure, and smart home innovation. Organised by MIE Group LLC and emceed by Joe Nicastro, Partner at Vesta Preferred Realty, APEX Chicago 2026 brought together government dignitaries, investors, developers, architects, engineers, and technology experts across three converged summits: APEX, the Smarter Infrastructure Summit 2026, and the Smarter Home & Furnishings Summit.

Today’s conversations shape a global real estate sector valued at over $379.7 trillion. With US residential real estate projected to grow at a 9.23% CAGR through 2034, and commercial real estate investment expected to reach $562 billion in 2026, APEX Chicago 2026 connected the leaders driving what comes next, from smart infrastructure to global investment opportunities

Day One opened with a formal ceremony and high-level discussions on market entry, investment ROI, and the Chicago housing landscape, highlighted by “The Great Housing Reset of 2026” panel, which explored how investors can navigate a more balanced and opportunity-driven market. The sessions set a strong foundation for understanding evolving demand and strategic investment positioning in key urban markets.

Day Two focused on innovation and execution, covering smart infrastructure, resilient design, AI, energy transition, and smart building technologies, alongside discussions on climate-ready development and global investment flows into U.S. real estate. It also emphasized how technology and sustainability are reshaping the future of construction and urban living.

Day Three concluded the event with a focus on high-growth sectors, Illinois as a global investment destination, life sciences, and practical real estate strategies, including compact climate-smart development and portfolio growth. The final sessions provided actionable insights for investors seeking long-term value and diversification.

APEX (America’s Property Exhibition) is a global real estate platform that brings together leading real estate professionals, developers, and global investors to drive business growth, foster collaboration, and unlock new market opportunities. With strong participation from attendees representing over 15 countries, APEX continues to grow as a key meeting point for cross-border real estate engagement.

After successful events in Miami 2025 and the successful conclusion in Chicago, APEX will continue its journey to the City of Lights with APEX 4 in Las Vegas (September 23–25). APEX will also be co-located with the Smarter Home & Furnishings Expo and the Smarter Infrastructure Summit, further enhancing cross-industry collaboration and global partnership opportunities.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all participants, speakers, exhibitors, delegates, and stakeholders and partners for their continued support in building this dynamic and fast-growing international platform. We look forward to continuing this momentum in Las Vegas and beyond.
