Sun Nuclear, a Mirion Medical company, recently announced that its AdaptCHECK software has been validated in collaboration with Siemens Healthineers technical experts and clinical partners for interoperability with the company’s new radiotherapy system, Accela. Unveiled at the annual ASTRO conference, Accela is the first software-driven delivery system engineered for NeoArc (Dynamic Modulated Arc Therapy, DMAT), a new treatment technique that accelerates how radiation therapy is planned, delivered, and adapted.

AdaptCHECK, built on the SunCHECK Patient workflow, is Sun Nuclear’s quality assurance (QA) software for adaptive radiation therapy. It delivers fast, patient-specific dose verification — covering secondary dose calculations, plan-of-the-day recalculations, and log-file-based treatment monitoring — so treatments stay safe and on track without slowing down care.

By tailoring each session to the patient’s current anatomy, adaptive workflows have the potential to improve treatment precision, reduce dose to healthy tissue, and ultimately enhance clinical outcomes. As more clinics adopt this approach and the need for independent dose verification increases, tools like AdaptCHECK become essential.
