Allen Matkins announced yesterday the addition of corporate and real estate partner Peter R. Fischer to its Century City office. Peter’s practice focuses on mid-market M&A matters, stock and asset transactions, fund formation, syndication, joint ventures, and private placements. Peter represents a broad range of companies, funds, investors, and entrepreneurs. Peter also counsels his clients on crisis management, pre-litigation workouts, and investor, partnership, and shareholder disputes.

Peter is an experienced deal lawyer, advising clients on complex corporate and real estate transactions. He regularly represents real estate developers and owners, private equity funds, investors, lenders and entrepreneurs with mid-market M&A deals, stock and asset transactions, fund formation, syndication, joint ventures, and private placements.

Peter began his career in New York as a project and bank finance attorney representing financial institutions and private equity funds. After relocating to Los Angeles, Peter began representing borrowers/sponsors and later practiced in entertainment finance. Most recently, Peter practiced as a real estate and corporate partner at Sklar Kirsh LLP.

Peter received his J.D., cum laude, from the American University Washington College of Law, and his B.A. in Political Science and East Asian Studies from Union College.
