Viapol, one of the largest manufacturers of chemical solutions for civil construction in Latin America, announces Amilton Oliveira as its new CEO. Ariovaldo Torelli, who held the position since the company’s founding 33 years ago, ends his cycle at the company and is replaced by the executive who was in charge of the company’s financial management.
“It is a great honor for me to be named the new CEO of Viapol. This company has an impressive track record of innovation, operational excellence, and commitment to customers. I am committed to driving our strategic growth, being present in all works, seeking full customer satisfaction, and strengthening our ties with employees, representatives, applicators, designers, and builders. In this way, we will establish a standard of exceptional results”, declares Amilton Oliveira.
The leadership transition at Viapol, previously planned, starts a new phase for the company. Oliveira, who has been with Viapol for eight years and was groomed for the position of CEO, will take over at the end of June. He assumes the responsibility of driving an average growth of 15% in the coming years, further consolidating Viapol’s position in the market.
After decades of dedication to the company, Torelli expressed his desire to spend more time with his family. His departure represents the end of an era at Viapol, a company that has become a national reference in developing complete and effective solutions for civil construction since its foundation in 1990.
Viapol has a broad portfolio with more than a thousand items aimed at the protection, conservation, and enhancement of works, serving all stages of an undertaking. Its headquarters are located in the city of Caçapava-SP, where it has an industrial park considered the largest in the sector in Latin America. In addition, the company has a branch in the city of Candeias-BA, a Distribution Center in Jaboatão dos Guararapes-PE and a commercial technical office in São Paulo (SP).
With more than 550 employees and 200 sales representatives operating throughout Brazil, Viapol recorded a significant growth of 21% in sales in 2022, surpassing the average for the civil construction sector, which grew 6% in the same period, according to data of the Brazilian Chamber of Civil Construction Industry (CBIC).
2021 and 2022 Performance
When analyzing the company’s performance, Torelli attributed the success to the accelerated pace of the last two years, driven by easier access to credit and the new remote work format, which boosted retail sales and new housing units. He pointed out that Viapol has expanded by about 70% in the last two years.
For the new CEO, Amilton, the challenge of leading Viapol in a scenario of economic uncertainty and intense changes in global geopolitics is mitigated by an increasingly qualified team and a constant reading of the context.
