When a car accident turns life upside down, the path forward often feels unclear.
Between medical appointments, mounting bills, and insurance calls that go nowhere, injured people need someone who has actually walked this road before, many times over. That is where Anthony J. Russo Jr comes in.
Two Decades Representing Accident Victims Across Florida
For more than 20 years, Anthony J. Russo Jr. has stood beside accident victims and everyday consumers across Florida and the country. He is the founding attorney and partner of The Russo Firm, based in Delray Beach, where his practice centers on one goal: helping people rebuild after catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, and other cases rooted in someone else’s negligence.
His courtroom record speaks for itself. Anthony has handled thousands of personal injury and consumer justice lawsuits, representing clients hurt in car wrecks, truck collisions, and motorcycle accidents.
He has also taken on more complicated litigation involving defective drugs and faulty medical devices, cases that demand a deep bench of legal knowledge and serious trial preparation.
Over the years, he has seen nearly every tactic adjusters use to delay or minimize a claim, and that familiarity gives his clients a real edge at the negotiating table.
Leadership Roles That Shaped His Legal Career
Anthony’s path to founding his own firm did not happen overnight. Before The Russo Firm, he served as managing partner at Freedland Russo, P.L. in Weston, Florida.
Anthony’s background gives him a practical sense of how cases move, how insurance companies think, and how to keep a client’s interests at the center of every decision.
Education and Multi-State Bar Admissions
Anthony’s legal foundation started at Fordham University, followed by an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University in Broward County.
He has practiced law in Florida since 1995 and holds additional bar admissions in New York, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia.
A Trial Lawyer Who Doesn’t Shy Away From Court
Most personal injury claims get resolved at the negotiating table, but not all of them should be. When insurance companies dig in and refuse a fair offer, having an attorney who is genuinely comfortable in front of a jury changes the equation.
Colleagues consistently point to Anthony’s willingness to take a case all the way to trial when settlement talks fall short, a trait that keeps opposing counsel from underestimating him.
He also stays active within the legal community through memberships in the Florida Justice Association, the Broward County Justice Association, the National Trial Lawyers Association, The Florida Bar, and the Florida Lawyers Action Group.
Advocacy Work With MADD and Local Nonprofits
Anthony’s commitment does not end when he leaves the office. He volunteers as the Legal Pro Bono Supervisor for Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s Court Monitoring Program, work that directly supports accountability and safer roads.
He also sits on the Board of Directors for two organizations doing meaningful work across Florida: Counselors Advocating Resources for Everyone, known as CARE FLA, and the Florida Initiative for Suicide Prevention, known as F.I.S.P.
Earlier in his career, he led the Rotary Club of Weston as President during the 2007 to 2008 term and served as a Board Director for the Sheinberg Family YMCA of Broward County.
Founding Stealth Baseball to Support Young Athletes
Away from the courtroom, Anthony has left a lasting mark on youth sports. He founded Stealth Baseball Team, Inc., a nonprofit travel baseball program that has grown into one of the largest of its kind in Palm Beach County. Under his leadership, the organization has helped more than 350 high school players earn spots on college rosters, all while keeping the program accessible and affordable for families who might not otherwise have that opportunity.
Why Boca Raton Families Trust Anthony Russo Jr
Choosing a personal injury lawyer is rarely just about who runs the most advertisements. For accident victims in Boca Raton and throughout South Florida, it comes down to real experience, standing within the legal community, and a track record of showing up for clients. Anthony J. Russo Jr.’s career checks every one of those boxes.
His work goes beyond simply filing claims. It is about understanding what injured people are actually going through, holding negligent parties accountable, and helping families move forward after some of the hardest moments of their lives.
