Carestream Health recently announced new enhancements to its ImageView software and DRX-Evolution Plus system, representing its industry-leading innovative imaging solutions Series products realize the latest improvements.
In addition to the previously launched Smart Room function, the latest 2.1 version of ImageView software also provides new smart room options, such as Virtual Long-Length Imaging, Virtual Collimation, and Patient Position Monitoring (Patient-Position Monitoring) and patient image (Patient Picture), positioning overlay (Positioning Overlay) and alignment assist (Align Assist).
These features help radiographers confirm precise positioning more quickly, resulting in more consistent and efficient image acquisition, and rapid diagnosis and treatment.
Steve Romocki, global product director for digital radiology (DR) room systems, said: “Carestream has always been committed to helping improve productivity through its DR product portfolio. These latest improvements meet this need: camera-based positioning capabilities enable faster, more accurate positioning and reduce the number of retakes, making patient examinations more comfortable.”
The latest enhancements also include a detector alignment tool that assists in quick assessment of detector position in non-pallet environments, ensuring reliable alignment between the tube and detector. Not only does this enhance the radiographer’s confidence, but it also reduces the likelihood of raster cuts.
In addition to new software innovations, Carestream announced new features for its state-of-the-art DRX-Evolution Plus digital radiography system, including the latest features in ImageView 2.1 software, in addition to a new reliable grid architecture for wall mounts, bidirectional Audio assistance, patient photo options, and console screen AEC edge positioning.
These latest innovations add to Carestream’s rich portfolio of enhanced imaging solutions, such as R&D product line visualization, pneumothorax visualization, low-dose patented dual-energy bone suppression, digital tomosynthesis and smart noise reduction based on artificial intelligence.
