AEG Presents, one of the global leaders in live entertainment, has announced the appointment of Dion Brant as President and CEO of AEG Presents Asia Pacific, effective immediately. The Melbourne-based Brant, who will continue in his roles at Frontier Touring both as CEO and on the company’s Board of Directors, will report to Adam Wilkes, President and CEO of AEG Presents Europe and Asia Pacific.

A highly respected veteran in the live entertainment industry, Brant brings deep experience promoting and producing major live music events across the region at the leading concert promotion company in Australia and New Zealand. He will be tasked with spearheading AEG Presents’ continued growth and development throughout Asia and working to further strengthen the company’s footprint and strategic direction across the wider Asia Pacific region.

“Dion is a highly respected executive who has played an integral role in our success,” said Wilkes. “His leadership at Frontier has been transformational, proving he’s a steady hand capable of guiding our business into the future. I couldn’t be happier to name Dion to this position.”

Commented Brant: “I’ve worked closely with Adam for over a decade and have first-hand knowledge of the exceptional team he has built in AEG Presents’ Asia Pacific operations. And of course, our incredibly talented group at Frontier gives me the ability to split my time and take on this extra responsibility with the confidence that we’ll continue to lead the Australia and New Zealand markets. I look forward to getting involved and helping to maintain positive momentum from what has been a successful period under Adam’s leadership. This further opens opportunities for us to bring the Frontier Touring and Asia Pacific businesses closer together, sharing insights, building capabilities, and enhancing our offering for artists across the region.”

Brant’s career started in marketing and programming roles in commercial radio. He transitioned to the Australian ticketing company Ticketek and held executive roles driving engagement with promoters, venues and sports entities. In 2013, Brant was recruited by the Mushroom Group to head up strategy and development across the company, and a year later moved full-time to Frontier Touring. Brant worked closely with Mushroom Group and Frontier founder, the late Michael Gudinski, and was a key player in negotiating the 2019 joint partnership of Frontier Touring to AEG Presents. Following the unexpected passing of Gudinski in March 2021, AEG Presents took a controlling interest in Frontier Touring and Brant was named CEO.
