Immervision, one of the global leaders in wide-angle vision, image-processing algorithms, and end-to-end camera simulation, announced its contribution to the newly launched Lenovo ThinkPad X1s and X9-15p introduced at Lenovo Tech World & CES 2026.
Engineered for modern hybrid collaboration, the new 10MP camera available on these devices features a custom Immervision 110° FoV miniature wide-angle optical design paired with Immervision’s real-time image-processing algorithms integrated into Intel’s newest chipset. This hardware–software combination unlocks the full 110° field of view preserving natural facial proportions across the entire screen and maintains clarity even in challenging or low-light conditions – all within the extremely compact form factor required by Lenovo’s ultra-thin flagship.
“Delivering exceptional video-conferencing quality is core to the ThinkPad experience,” said Tom Butler, Vice President, Commercial Portfolio & Product Management, Intelligent Devices Group, Lenovo. “Immervision’s optical innovation and image-processing capabilities play an essential role in enabling the wider, more natural perspective featured on these premium devices.”

The collaboration demonstrates how deep integration between optics, silicon, and software can elevate user experience without compromising performance, power consumption, or industrial design. “Creating a high-megapixel, 110-degree wide-angle camera in such a small form factor is a remarkable joint engineering achievement between Lenovo, Intel, and Immervision,” said Jean-François Rousseau, Immervision CEO.
Alessandro Gasparini, EVP & CCO at Immervision, added: “Together, we have delivered a camera system that captures a crystal-clear, professional image in any lighting condition while ensuring everyone or a single person, wherever they are in the frame, looks their best. This integration sets the foundation for the next generation of videoconferencing and collaboration features that will make remote meetings feel much closer to in-person interactions.”
