SWBC’s Investment Services, LLC, one of the leading providers of comprehensive and holistic financial planning to governmental entities, school districts, individuals, businesses, and financial institutions, has announced the promotion of Ryan Smith to Director of Finance-Capital Markets. With five years of experience in underwriting and a comprehensive background in financial services, Smith assumes this leadership role after being a key member of the underwriting team.
In his new position, Smith will leverage his expertise in structuring complex transactions to support existing and new clients in the government sector and risk management to help ensure continued financial stability and strategic growth. As a fully licensed financial professional holding the following FINRA certifications, SIE, 6, 63, 7, 99, 52, 53, 4, 24, 27, he brings a deep understanding of regulatory compliance and industry best practices to the role.

Smith has played a key role in the success of several major deals. Recently, he skillfully priced for the sale of a USD 181MM bond for the San Antonio Water System (SAWS), Series 2025A. Additionally, he successfully underwrote an USD 11MM bond for the Town of Wolcott, CT, Series 2025, and a USD 6MM bond for Florence County, SC, Series 2025B, demonstrating his financial expertise and strong understanding of the municipal bond market and bond underwriting.
