Vizient, the nation’s leading healthcare performance improvement company, announced that Dan Salzman has joined the company as chief marketing officer. In this role, Salzman will develop and lead Vizient’s go-to-market strategy focused on delivering value to clients.

“Dan brings a unique blend of experience in commercial marketing, data-driven decision making and digital engagement for both large-scale consumer and tech-driven B2B environments, all of which position him to help elevate Vizient’s market position and drive strategic growth,” said Byron Jobe, chief executive officer for Vizient. “Dan’s addition to the executive leadership team will strengthen our organization as we work with clients and suppliers on the transformation of healthcare in our country.”

Prior to joining Vizient, Salzman served Senior Vice President and Business Unit CMO for HP’s USD 4.5B Workforce Solutions division. Over his 16-year career at HP, he held several global and regional marketing leadership roles including Global Head of Media, Insights and Data Science and CMO for the Americas.

Before that, he held leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, after starting out at Kraft Foods and Quaker Oats. Salzman holds a Ph.D. in Social/Personality Psychology from Lehigh University and a B.S. in Experimental Psychology from Liberty University.
