Boomi, a leader in intelligent integration and automation, announced that Pallion Group, an Australian precious metals and jewellery company, leveraged the Boomi Enterprise Platform to enhance resilience and customer experience (CX) across its brands and build a foundation for generative AI.
Headquartered in Sydney, Pallion is comprised of six brands that provide organisations and individuals in Australia, Hong Kong and China with the sourcing, manufacture, distribution, sale and secure storage of gold, silver and custom jewelry. The company implemented Boomi’s Integrated Platform as a Service (iPaaS) to simplify and improve connectivity between technology systems and establish visibility into sensitive financial, commercial, and product supply data.
Simon Smith, Group Chief Information Officer of Pallion Group, said: “Pallion supplies high-value precious metals and jewellery whose prices are dynamic and rapidly changing, subject to strict compliance requirements. In other words, we work with personal and corporate money, including banks, pension funds, and large retailers. That’s why teams need to be able to consolidate and view customer information on a single screen, data can flow back and forth in real-time, and maintain consistent uptime across systems. “Boomi strengthens our data strategy by providing a clean hub-and-spoke integration framework that connects business-critical platforms and centralizes data to make this possible.”

According to Smith, Pallion deployed the Boomi Enterprise Platform in February 2024 to support the foundation of digital transformation and replace the “chaos” caused by hundreds of outdated point-to-point integrations. The platform is already being used to connect Pallion’s Microsoft Dynamics 365 enterprise resource planning (ERP) stack with its finance and human resources (HR) systems, and the company expects its use of iPaaS to expand as its digital transformation strategy progresses. On the other hand, the data ingested by Pallion’s system is already centrally managed in the Boomi DataHub.
Smith added, “Boomi has created a trustworthy environment where we can securely send data to the right people and places with no downtime, from our production operations to the websites our customers use to purchase precious metals and jewelry. This improves the customer experience because the information that buyers and our team see is always accurate. If something goes wrong, Boomi’s integrated model allows you to quickly identify and resolve the problem. A process that used to take days can now be completed in hours.”
Pallion has also been able to dramatically increase productivity with the help of Boomi, reducing the amount of time previously spent maintaining and fixing point-to-point integrations.
In addition, Smith said the Boomi Enterprise Platform acts as an “abstraction layer” so that new technology investments can be quickly and seamlessly integrated into the corporate group, and data is readily available through the Boomi DataHub. This is pivotal to Pallion’s strategic roadmap, and the company plans to deploy generative AI that allows employees to query company data using natural language, ultimately speeding up internal processes and customer service. David Irecki, Chief Technology Officer at APJ at Boomi, said: “Pallion Group not only serves some of the most prolific retail brands, from Tiffany & Co. to Michael Hill Jewellery, but also Australian financial institutions and consumers. He has also worked on the Melbourne Cup, Australian Open trophies, and the carriage for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The company’s customers expect a seamless experience when making important purchasing decisions. “Boomi has helped Pallion establish a trusted and resilient technology environment across the brand to optimize the customer experience, while supporting the stringent compliance obligations imposed on the group’s operations.”
