Eastdil Secured, L.L.C., the global real estate investment bank, yesterday announced that Jeffrey Davis will be joining Eastdil Secured as Managing Director.
In this role, Mr. Davis will be part of the leadership of the firm’s global hospitality group, where he will be responsible for supporting clients and growing the firm’s hospitality business with a particular focus on the Eastern United States. He will work closely with Eastdil Secured global hospitality leaders Louis Stervinou, Patrick Deming, John Bourret, and Giorgio Manenti, and will lead the East Coast practice working closely with Scott Ellman, Alyssa Kidd, and Ian Banger. In 2022, the firm completed over $18 billion of hospitality and lodging-related sales, joint ventures, financings, and M&A-related transactions globally.
“Jeff is a deeply talented and trusted advisor, and we are pleased to welcome him to the firm,” said Roy Hilton March, CEO of Eastdil Secured. “With his expertise, network of relationships, and entrepreneurial mindset, we are confident he will have an instant – and lasting – impact on clients around the world. More than ever, clients are looking to Eastdil Secured for reliable expertise, creative solutions, and the ability to deliver for them, and we continue to enhance our platform and grow our teams to be responsive to the needs of our clients.”
“Lodging continues to be a favored asset class globally, and we have seen a dramatic increase in capital allocations across the sector,” said Louis Stervinou, Managing Director at Eastdil Secured. “This strategic hire has a multiplier effect that will only enhance our ability to service our clients in this unique and important sector of the commercial real estate markets.”
Mr. Davis brings over 30 years of real estate and hospitality experience to the firm. He joins Eastdil Secured following an accomplished 18-year tenure at JLL, where he served as Senior Managing Director and head of the US Hotels Investment Sales Capital Markets team, responsible for overseeing all full-service hotel investment sales in the Americas. At JLL, Mr. Davis transacted and advised on more than $50 billion of high-profile lodging transactions, including the Boca Resort and, most recently, the Diplomat Beach Resort in Florida, two of the largest single-asset transactions in the United States. Along the eastern half of the United States, Mr. Davis has advised on transactions for some of the most iconic hotel assets including the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston, the Plaza Hotel New York, the Standard, High Line, the Mandarin NYC, and the Mandarin Washington DC.
Prior to joining JLL, Mr. Davis served as vice president of asset management and business development for Ian Schrager at Morgans Hotel Group. Mr. Davis worked previously as an investment banker at Salomon Smith Barney, where he completed more than $15 billion of private and publicly traded real estate transactions. Mr. Davis holds an MBA in real estate finance and strategic planning from the Anderson School at UCLA, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
