Translate PowerPoint Slides Once Then Run Each Region

Regional roadshow weeks collapse when Tokyo, Frankfurt, and São Paulo each receive a separately rewritten deck. The city name on the cover is new.

The chart on slide 4 is not. If that chart has moved, or if the series labels have been polished into a cousin phrase, the three rooms are no longer looking at one story. The job is to translate PowerPoint slides from one master file, then keep the same slide numbers on every city copy.

One Master File Feeds Every Regional Copy

The master is the English PPTX the numbers team already signed. Regional copies are language passes of that file, not new outlines. Cover text can name the city. The body slides cannot grow, shrink, or swap order.

DocTranslator takes the whole PPTX, runs one language pair, and returns a PowerPoint file. Speaker notes, tables, and slide order stay attached to the sentences they belonged to. It keeps one file in one piece while the language changes.

How To Run The Language Passes In Order

The sequence is boring on purpose. One source. Several downloads. Do not start a second language from a finished regional copy. Always return to the master.

  1. Write the city name that will appear on slide 1, and write the exact title of the witness slide (usually slide 4, the chart the CFO will point at).
  2. Upload the master PPTX, set the language pair, download the city copy.
  3. Open the download next to the master. Search the witness title. It must sit on the same slide number.
  4. Park the city copy in the roadshow folder. Go back to the master before the next language.

The upload box on the PowerPoint page accepts PPT and PPTX. The desk chooses a source language or leaves detection on, picks the target, and downloads the result.

Mark The Same Witness Slide On Each Copy

Pick the witness before anyone uploads. A good witness has a title the CFO will say out loud and a number the room will stare at. Write that title on paper, with the slide number. After each download, search the title. If it has moved, discard the city copy.

Page count for a PPTX is the visible slides in the viewer. A 12-slide master is 12 pages on every language pass. If the download has 13 slides, someone inserted a slide or the pass was run on the wrong file.

What A Twelve Slide Deck Actually Costs

Credits are spent when a file is translated. A digital PPTX page costs 1 credit. Standard files sit under 30MB and under 30 pages, and they still cost at least 20 credits. A 12-slide digital deck is 20 credits per language, not 12. Three regions from one master are 60 credits if each pass stays Standard.

FileVisible slidesCredits if Standard
Master (not translated)120 — source stays put

Frankfurt copy1220
São Paulo copy1220

The table is a budget, not a feature tour. If any city copy shows 13 slides, stop and find the extra page before anyone presents.

A Short Deck Still Hits Twenty Credits

Teams keep hoping a 14-slide digital file will clear at 14 credits. It will not. Under the Standard floor the cost is 20. Write 20 on the intake card. Keep the live master.

Photographed Slides Stay Off The Language Pass

A deck that is actually a photographed PDF sitting inside PowerPoint is the wrong job. Visible slides still count as pages, but the text is no longer live. Treat that file as a scan problem, not as a digital PPTX, and keep it off this sitting. A sworn or certified translation of an investor filing is also the wrong job. Those slides stay with a certified translator and the original file.  A file pass happens before the talk. It does not subtitle the speaker in real time.

Keep The Master Next To Every City Copy

DocTranslator is useful on a roadshow week because the grid stays in the file while the language changes. It does not own the regional story, and it does not replace the master. If the witness title holds on the same slide in every copy, the rooms can use the packs. If one title has moved, scrap that city copy and run it again from the master. A later editor who only receives the Tokyo file has already lost the pack DocTranslator was asked to keep together.
